Ballet Barre
The ballet barre class is a total body workout. It strives to strengthen, stretch and elongate your muscles by combining the principles of classical dance, yoga and Pilates. The class is set to motivating music, and is guaranteed to lift your seat and tone your thighs, arms and abs. Just in time for the upcoming bikini season! No dance experience is needed.
Pure Ballet
This class focuses on alignment, balance, grace and flexibility. Ballet sculpts long lean muscles in the legs, lift in the buttocks, an engaged core and toned graceful arms. Exercises consist of ballet barre and basic center work. Ballet shoes, socks, or bare feet acceptable.
Ballet Workout
The Ballet Workout (formerly known as NYC Ballet workout) is an anaerobic ballet based fitness class. It was developed by NYCB’s Artistic Director Peter Martins in collaboration with several doctors and physical therapists. It is set to the classical and contemporary music repertoire used by NYCB. It introduces ballet and stretching and can be done by new or seasoned dancers. Instructors must have had an extensive career in ballet and fitness and must go through an three month training process before obtaining their certification.
Pure Ballet: Saturdays at 10:30-11:30am
Ballet Barre: Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30-10:30am
