Heather Tharpe is a Senior Yoga Teacher, a Children's Story Teller at our local Peabody Essex Museum, a published children's book author, illustrator, and former early childhood/art teacher. She first introduced yoga to her young students in 1993. Heather teaches Yoga to children weekly at area schools here on our NorthShore.

"I wrote my first children’s story when I was a senior in high school. The enthusiastic response from my English teacher was incredibly inspiring. I began writing and illustrating in 2002 and published my first book, My Cow Blue in April, 2016.

This past summer I published my second children’s book, Popcorn. I originally wrote Popcorn to be a creative movement poem for my preschool students in 1995. My students loved it! It was a great way for them to get their wiggles and giggles out.

Popcorn teaches children how popcorn pops with a fun rhyme and bright illustrations.  And all children love popcorn! My Cow Blue teaches your children the importance of putting their shoes away with this cute story. Moo!

My Cow Blue and Popcorn are available on amazon.com.

I’m so excited to have accomplished this life long dream. The incredible response from the community has fueled my passion for making more literary magic for children. My third children’s book will be in print in 2017!"
