You may have seen pictures of people (including myself) upside down on each others feet and thought, “that looks crazy!”  At the same time, maybe you were intrigued.

Almost exactly six years ago, I was enjoying a sunny summer day on Good Harbor Beach when a friend who was participating in the same yoga training that I was asked me if I wanted to do some Acro.  I said sure, why not?  My world was flipped upside down in every way.  During the more dynamic solar poses, I was beaming from ear to ear.  When I received the more lunar, therapeutic poses my body relaxed and released.  The experience was exhilarating, wondrous, and I loved every second.

Fast forward to now.  I have taken my love for this powerful practice all over the world, to Portugal, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Bali.  I have met soul friends and amazing teachers along the way.  I feel strongly that sharing AcroYoga is part of my life path because of the joy and connection it brings to us as humans.  AcroYoga is a dynamic partner practice that blends the wisdom of yoga, the power of acrobatics, and the loving kindness of healing arts.  AcroYoga is for everyone, and those who take the leap of love will build strength, balance, and flexibility, as well as cultivate communication, community, and trust.  AcroYoga is super versatile.  We practice asana, train inversions, learn acrobatic flows, and share healing touch through therapeutics. We break down flying, basing and spotting to make the experience fun, safe, and accessible to all levels. We support each other through movement, connection, and play.

One of the most beautiful and beneficial aspects of AcroYoga is that is shows you who you are.  It is a mirror to your self, showing you your strengths, weaknesses, fears, inhibitions, patience, communication skills, and so much more.  Learn about yourself through the power of play.  When we play, we love.  And when the aim is love, magic always happens.
